Cream City Foundation Appoints Paul R. Fairchild as New President and CEO

Paul FairchildCream City Foundation, Inc. a community based foundation focused on funding lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) programs and organizations working towards social change in southeastern Wisconsin, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul R. Fairchild as the new President and CEO of the organization. Fairchild joins the organization as it celebrates its 30th year and aims to further its impact in the LGBT community.

“The LGBT movement is at a watershed moment in our history.” said Fairchild. “I’m thrilled to be joining Cream City Foundation as we do everything we can, along with our stakeholders and partners, to expand and leverage our resources to have a positive impact on the quality of life for our community here in Milwaukee. Working together we will not only succeed, we will flourish.”

Throughout his tenure, Fairchild has worked with several of the Midwest’s most prestigious LGBT organizations. Hailing from Chicago, he most recently served as Chief Development Officer and interim CEO for Howard Brown Health Center, the Midwest’s largest provider of healthcare to LGBT individuals. Before joining Howard Brown, Fairchild served as Director of Development at Horizons Community Services, now known as the Center on Halsted and Vice President for Donor & Community Relations for Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights. He holds the distinction of being the only man to serve on the Board of the Lesbian Community Cancer Project. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in the LGBT community, Fairchild will seamlessly lead the charge for Cream City Foundation’s vision of strategic growth.

“After nearly a year long national search, Paul’s creativity, vast fundraising, marketing and public relations experience, along with his extensive background in LGBT issues and proven track record of building coalitions, made him the obvious candidate for this position,” said President, Board of Directors, Jim Schleif. “The Board agreed Paul is exactly who we need at this critical time for the organization.”

Cream City Foundation is a community based foundation focused on funding lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) programs and organizations working towards social change in southeastern Wisconsin. The Foundation serves as the leader in mobilizing philanthropic resources, fostering strategic collaboration, effecting positive change and the advancement of the quality, dignity, and health of LGBT people in Southeastern Wisconsin.
